According to TMZ.com, L.A. County Fire responded to a 911 call at the Mondrian Hotel on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. They arrived on the scene to find Butler dead in his bed. As of press time, cause of death is still unknown and details have yet to be revealed. Although a hotel employee was reached on the phone, she stated that she was not allowed to comment on the incident. A statement from the rapper's representative, Nancy Byron, confirmed his death, stating "It is with great regret that I must confirm that Chad Butler, a.k.a. Pimp C, one half of the legendary UGK was in fact discovered dead this morning." She goes on to add, "Manager Rick Martin is asking that everyone please respect his family and those closee to him at this time and refrain from rumors and innuendo. A formal statement will be released later this afternoon. Thank you all for understanding." Over the weekend, Pimp C performed at the House Of Blues in L.A., with fellow rapper and friend Too Short. Pimp was still riding high off a successful year. He and partner-in-rhyme Bun B recently won Best Hip-Hop Collabo for “International Player’s Anthem” featuring Outkast at the 2nd Annual BET Hip-Hop Awards. UGK had also scored its first #1 album by selling 160,000 copies of its Underground Kingz album back in August. Producer Mannie Fresh's Sister was murdered!

Mannie Fresh's sister, Angela Bryant, was shot and killed Wednesday night in her New Orleans home, according to local TV affiliate WWLTV. Police reportedly said the 42-year-old mother's two young children were present but not physically harmed. Authorities said Bryant, whose body was discovered early Thursday morning, was murdered between 10 p.m. and midnight, according to WWLTV. Her black 1998 Lexus LS 400 reportedly went missing after the murder. Bryant's husband, who had been out of town when his wife was killed, arrived at the house before noon and was distraught, according to the WWLTV report. The couple got married last month, and Bryant celebrated her birthday with family on Wednesday night, WWLTV said. Police reportedly did not elaborate on the conditions of the children, ages 2 and 7, but said they were safe and healthy. "We are still working on the motive of this," New Orleans Police Superintendent Warren Riley told reporters. "We do have some limited information and limited information relative to leads at this time, but it's still very early at this point." Police said they were not sure if Bryant knew the killer, but they did say that there was no sign of forced entry, according to WWLTV. Forensics swept through Bryant's house on Thursday, and relatives and neighbors also went to the residence. "We've not drawn any conclusions," Assistant New Orleans Police Superintendent Marlon Defillo told WWLTV. "We've not made any elimination. As the day progresses, we hope to learn more, but it's a work in progress." Mannie Fresh (real name: Byron O. Fabolous 's friend stabbed to death!

A pal of the rapper Fabolous was stabbed to death Friday in a fight at a trendy Manhattan nightclub, where investigators believe he had been partying with the star. The death of Shamel McKinney - who was knifed in the chest and back at Duvet - became the latest in a string of violent crimes plaguing the West Side's clubland. Police sources said McKinney, 25, was hanging out with longtime friend Fabolous in the hours before he was killed, but that it was not clear if the rapper was still at the club at the time of the stabbing. McKinney, of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, staggered out of the club and collapsed on W.21stSt., blood gushing from his wounds, just after 3:30 a.m., witnesses said. "The fight broke out, but he had nothing to do with it," said the victim's brother Darryl McKinney, 23, who was at the club. "He got caught in the middle." The killing may have stemmed from a fight between two women in the club, although it was not clear how Shamel McKinney became involved, police said. Because of the fight, cops had been called to the nightspot - which features 30 beds framed by silk curtains for what the Duvet Web site calls a "sexy" experience. Police were outside when McKinney collapsed. "He wasn't with the girls. He was just standing there," said Darryl McKinney, who confirmed his brother knew Fabolous from their childhood in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, but insisted the rapper was not at the club. Repeated calls to Fabolous' lawyer were not returned. A man who answered the door at the rapper's New Jersey home said Fabolous had spent Thanksgiving with his family and was not at the club. Investigators are looking to interview the rapper, police sources said. Cops, who were reviewing videotape taken from nearby surveillance cameras, found a knife with a bloody, 7-inch blade in a Dumpster near the club a few hours after the killing. "How did a knife get in the club?" asked Darryl McKinney. "I was in the club, [and] they searched me." The victim - who had prior arrests for robbery and for selling drugs - was on disability pay after being smacked in the head with a bottle during a fight at Chelsea club Chaos five years ago. He was remembered by his family as a devoted father to his two young sons. "He was a good person, a good father," said his aunt Shirley Hartman. "Whoever did this, I just want them caught." The killing occurred less than a block from the site of Justin's, Sean (Diddy) Combs' former restaurant, where Fabolous was shot in October 2006 after a member of his posse snatched a chain from NBA player Sebastian Telfair. Two guns were found in the vehicle Fabolous drove off in after the shooting, but weapons charges against the rapper were dropped last summer. Calls to Duvet were not returned. Looks as if Kanye broke down bad on stage Saturday in Paris,while he was just about to perform "Hey mama" to the audience. *tears* The exact words from the sold out concert attendee was "He said the word, 'Mother' and just couldn't go any further,". I find it very awkard that he was not present at Donda's memorial service and the fact that he is still perfoming .Truth be told, even though he might be trying to show to the outside and probably his mother;R.I.P that he's a strong person. Only a week after his mother's death, Kanye West returned to the concert stage Saturday night in Paris, only to dramatically break down in tears, audience members tell PEOPLE.
Nearing the end of the more than 60-minute performance, with the riff of "Hey Mama" beginning, West attempted to introduce the tribute to a sold-out crowd at Le Zénith in Paris, saying "this song is for my mother...." and could get no further.
"He just cracked," one attendee tells PEOPLE, "He was at the end of his concert and had just started to dedicate the song and then he just lost it completely."
"He said the word, 'Mother' and just couldn't go any further," Le Parisien journalist Meddy Magloire said. "A back-up singer, the DJ and a guitar player came over to console him. It looked like he might collapse. He just couldn't continue. He just stood there in a spotlight, crying while the band continued playing."
After a few moments of stunned silence, Magloire says, the audience of 5,000 reacted by offering calls of encouragement, which grew into applause.
The band restarted the song, but West left the stage, returning after 10-15 minutes to conclude the concert with a rousing performance of "Stronger."
"He was very nervous, seemed to have gathered himself up, and had a lot of energy," Magloire says. "He kept shouting out to the audience, 'I need you... I need you right now.' and the public was screaming back. It was magic."
Surprise Appearance
West had been reclusive since death of his mother. He cancelled a Victoria's Secrets performance on Thursday and was not at the memorial for her in Chicago on Friday.
His arrival in Paris at the Hotel Le Meurice on Friday, accompanied by fiancée Alexis Phifer and her son, was unexpected, coming just hours after another scheduled concert set for Monday in Amsterdam was officially cancelled.
West is scheduled to perform in Brussels on Sunday night. It's now expected he will return to the United States for his mother's funeral in Oklahoma City on Tuesday afternoon before returning to Europe to perform in London on Thursday. {SOURCE}

Dr. Donda West, Kanye's mother, was eulogized and lauded by friends and former colleagues Friday afternoon (November 16) at a memorial service held at Chicago State University, where she was on the faculty for 24 years. Praising her as a mentor, colleague and friend, West — who died on Saturday following surgery — was remembered as an inspiration during a lively event that featured gospel singing, heartfelt reminiscences and pleas for some traditional call-and-response from a colleague who doubles as a preacher. "She had a vibrant spirit, and one that was nurturing and also supportive, but nonetheless always challenging," Robyn Wheeler, director of university relations, told People magazine before the event. "We felt the service should reflect who she really was." Judging by a live feed of the event provided by NBC5.com, it did not appear to feature son Kanye — who is reportedly still in Europe, where he is slated to kick off his European tour next week — though People reported that Donda West's nephew would be on hand to represent the family. One colleague, current English and Communications Department Chairwoman Dr. Brenda Eatman Aghahowa, remembered a few maxims that Dr. West often related, reminding fellow professors that "the work people are doing is not more important than the people who are doing it," and "No big I's and no little you's in Donda's department." West was a former professor at the school and served as the chair of the English and Communications, Media Arts, and Theater department. "This is an absolutely impossible assignment, both emotionally and practically," said Aghahowa, an ordained minister who insisted the audience in the auditorium and overflow space respond to her calls as if they were in church. "Not only am I having to say something about my dear friend, whom we all have lost far too early, I also have to say what I want to say in just a few minutes. Donda West, the mother of hip-hop star and Chicago native Kanye West, died early Sunday in Los Angeles. She was 58. The former English professor at Chicago State University also was her son's manager and the chairwoman of the Kanye West Foundation. Earlier this year, she released a book, "Raising Kanye," that chronicled her son's childhood. A West spokesperson confirmed the death, saying "the family respectfully asks for privacy during this time of grief." SOURCE

Houston Rapper Big Moe passed away

Big Moe, a Houston rapper whose 2002 album reached No. 3 on Billboard's hip hop charts, has died. Big Moe, whose real name was Kenneth Moore, was 33. He died Sunday afternoon at Houston's Ben Taub hospital after being hospitalized for more than a week, said Bryan McLeod, a spokesman for the county public hospital system. McLeod did not release a cause of death, but numerous hip hop Web sites said the obese rapper suffered a heart attack. Big Moe, who rapped and sang, was a member of the late DJ Screw's rap collective the Screwed Up Click. Saturday the 25th of this month marked the 6th year of the death of a QUEEN;Aaliyah.
The singer died in a tragic plane crash on august 25th,2001 at 6:45 pm. For me as a fan, Aaliyah was the it chick, she was a great actress, an amazing singer and looking at these youtube videos a wonderful soul! I would like to send all my respects to her family. May she continue to R.I.P.

John Singleton Involved in pedestrian death?
In case you were not aware. Boyz in the hood director John Singleton has been involved in a terrible car accident. Which allegedly cause the death of a pedestrian last Thurs. LA police are tagging this one as a "very,very unfortunate accident"
LAPD officers tell TMZ Singleton was driving his 2001 Lexus SUV around 8:00 PM on a Los Angeles street, when a female pedestrian, not in a crosswalk, suddenly stepped in front of Singleton's car. Police say Singleton immediately stopped and waited for police and an ambulance to arrive. The 57-year-old woman, identified as Constance Russell of Los Angeles, was taken to a nearby hospital where she died Friday morning. Police tell TMZ Singleton was not speeding at the time and was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Cops say their investigation has concluded and they've determined that this was a "very, very unfortunate accident."

If you are not a religious or heartful person. Don't cmt on this post. This story is a really sad one like Larry King says. Tammy Baker was a powerful woman in spreading the word of god. I got a call from my aunt today with this news and asks that I post this for others to see. Even though I have sometimes 400-500 visitors a day only. You still learned about this woman.
Tammy Faye battle ended with inoperable cancer this friday the 20th. The next day this interview took place. The part that got to me the most was when she had hope of wanting to take a bit into that burger *smile*
