Flavor Flav & the fam cover S2S magazine

published by Angella at 7/16/2008 03:29:00 PM

From one of VH1's number show in ratings and degrading women, Flavor Flav has supposedly chosen the women he wants to spend his life with. Oh really...? I thought he was just doing that to stack some checks for him, Liz,that adorable cutie known as Karma and the rest of his eight something kids. Let me be the first one to say, there is nothing wrong with grabbing a financial opportunity when it benefits your family; sometimes. *Pause* In the August 2008 issue of S2S magazine, Flav had a sat down with Jamie where he elaborated on where he met Karma's baby mama, his music knowledge in instruments and more.

R&B singer Usher and his new little man (Usher Raymond V) is gracing the August 2008 issue of Essence magazine. I truly thought I would never get to see a clear photo of that little boy until I turned on my computer this morning. In the cover story 'Usher and son: One fine day' the newly dad elaborates on forgiving his father who is no longer living, his marriage and how he's basically aiming to not make the same mistakes his father did and be a good role model for his son.Well Usher, I can't argue with that for one second, you should be giving 25 cent a couple lessons. I know little 25 Cent is quite upset that his daddy put all his energy on men, uploading phone conversations and publicity stunts then him. *Shakes Head*

Young Jeezy on the Cover of Vibe

Atlanta native rapper Young Jeezy is on the August 2008 issue of Vibe magazine. When visiting the site and getting a little more information about this issue that is proclaimed to be VIBE's first ever real rap issue. I noticed that in the cover story "Can't tell me nothing" which features Young Jeezy of course, says that Jeezy opens up about Keyshia Cole and ....I wonder what that means since there are days when you hear them two are together, other days were they are not and hell some days were they were never in a relationship. This is vey confusing of you ask me. This is one issue that I will be picking up.

If I'm not mistaken the cover story 'Still da king' should includes everything from the recent events that have taken place in the rapper's life such as legal battles, childbirth etc..Be aware that his sixth stuido album 'Paper Trail' will be in stores September '08. On a sidenote, I like how the people over at XXl made that cover though, with the chalk touch and everything, it's a good look.

Kimora Lee Simmons is gracing the cover of the June/July '08 issue of Giant magazine. Judging from the issue's release party, everything went beyond fabulous! In the cover story 'Me,myself and I' written by staff writer Kisha Fernandez,Rusell's ex wife was described as 'low-key and personable' hmmmph! I don't quite see it that way, but then again I don't know her personally. You can read a brief snippet courtesy of Giantmag.com

Usher Covers Jet Magazine

published by Angella at 5/27/2008 02:14:00 PM

Today is the official release for Usher's long waited album 'Here I stand'. Although I have not gone to best buy to purchase my copy, due to the crazy-ass weather we have down here in Boston. I thought it would be fairly appropriate to post the June 2 issue of Jet magazine which is being covered by Mr.Raymond himself. Below is a snippet from the cover story 'Don't count me out' courtesy of Ebonyjet.com Usher On Parenthood And Passions If given the opportunity to have a sit-down discussion about the essence of Black music with any artist, living or dead, the person that Usher Raymond IV would chose is none other than the great Marvin Gaye. “I just think his mind was beautiful,” says Usher of the man whose work he admires. “There was a very realist yet sexual side of Marvin Gaye that was displayed in his records. There was an intimacy as well as vulnerability, and I think that you kind of get that in my CD.” Here I Stand, released May 27, is the highly anticipated CD that Usher is referring to. Much like Marvin, he takes on issues of the heart as the theme for his music. “It’s about the power of love, dedication and commitment and what that feels like,” explains the singer, who turns 30 on Oct. 14. “Every man comes to that point in his life when he just grows up. This is a part of that dialogue that goes with that.”

So...Kim Kardashian is on the latest cover of Sociale life magazine. Take note that I did not write out that she is "gracing" the latest... *wink* Anyways, not that I don't enjoy watching Rob gearing up to come out of the closet and Khloe and Kourteney hating on Kimmmy with her fake booty. But really..I mean seriously, what the hell is she famous for besides taking off her clothes and doing sex tapes? I have a $20 prize for anyone who answer my question.[Spotted:JensJuice]

Mario Cover Jet Magazine

Singer Mario is on the latest issue of Jet magazine with the cover story 'Mario adopts and overcomes'. I think this interview is worth reading because Mario will be speaking on his childhood problems, which to my knowledge were very huge obstacles. He says: "My struggles drive me" and I can't help to think back on several interviews of him speaking of his mother's drug addiction when he was a child growing up in Baltimore.

The good people over at Jet magazine got a chance to chat ut up with singer Mariah Carey, for the April 21st '08 issue. If you do not own a radio, you should be informed that "Touch My body" is gaining plenty of success at the moment. *applause* Even though I am not feeling the song like that, I have to admit there is no way in hell I can shut down the video. That ish is funny as hell! hehe
Mariah’s Milestone Mariah Carey is hitting even higher notes these days. Her new hit song, Touch My Body, has reached the top of the charts–bringing her total of No. 1 singles on the Billboard singles chart to 18, overtaking Elvis Presley’s record and placing the songbird only behind the Beatles, who have 20. “I really can never put myself in the category of people who have not only revolutionized music but also changed the world,” Carey says about the milestone. “That’s a completely different era and time. I’m just really happy and grateful.”

Alicia Keys Cover Blender Magazine

Eleven times grammy award winning singer Alicia Keys is gracing the latest cover of Blender magazine looking very F-A-B! From Reading a brief portion of the cover story "Alicia Keys unlocked" courtesy of blender.com. It really opened my eyes a little more on Key's music life and somewhat inner battles. Where she expressed her feelings toward the "lesbian" rumors circulating and so forth. Catch a glimpse below:
She built her first wall as an 11-year-old, to deal with the pimps and strip-club shills who’d catcall at her in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen, as she shuttled between music lessons, ballet classes, school and the apartment she shared with her single mom. Keys took to camouflaging herself in cornrows, baggy jeans and Timberlands. “One hundred times a day, it was ‘come dance for me,’ ‘come work with me,’” Keys recalls.“ At 11! So my mentality was Protect yourself. And that took me right into the music game.” She kept the wall up (and the cornrows on) when, signed to a contract with Columbia Records at 16, she had to fend off the advances of music producers more interested in sex than music. “I was meeting all these people who just wanted to use me,” she says. “Or be with me.”
